Lettings inspections in Loop Pocket

Modified on Fri, 16 Oct at 4:10 PM

Pocket gives you everything you need on the way to a lettings inspection: when it is, where it is, how to get in, and who the tenants are.

Opening an inspection

Inspections are in your diary. Tap one on the Agenda or on Now & Next to open it.

You can't open an inspection from the property record. Find it in the diary instead. To show only inspections, use Lettings Inspections in the Agenda filters. See Filtering the Agenda and viewing colleagues' diaries.

What you'll see

An inspection has four tabs: Details, Tenants, Notes & Activities and Documents.

The Details tab shows:

  • the Status, Date, Time and Agent
  • Location: a map. Tap View on Maps for directions.
  • Booking Comments: notes made when the inspection was booked
  • Inspection Comments and a Rating, once the inspection has been written up
  • Access and Alarm, Keys and Keysets
  • any documents attached to the inspection

The Tenants tab lists the tenants, with buttons to call, text or email them. It's useful if you're running late or can't get in.

Making notes during the visit

Use the Notes & Activities tab to jot things down as you go, for example "Damp patch on rear bedroom ceiling". See Notes and activities on a record.

Don't use Add photos on the property for inspection photos. Photos added that way join the property's marketing photos, and they can appear on your agency website straight away. Keep inspection photos on your phone and add them to the inspection in Loop.

What you can't do in Pocket

You can't book, reschedule, complete or rate an inspection, or add inspection comments, in Pocket. Write the inspection up in Loop, using the notes you made on the day.
