Pocket can alert you when something needs your attention, even when the app is closed. Notifications appear as a banner with a sound, including while you're using Pocket.
What you can be notified about
| Setting in Pocket | Notification | Sent when |
|---|---|---|
| Viewing Cancellations | Sales Viewing Cancelled | Someone cancels a sales viewing in Loop or in Pocket. |
| New Buyer Enquiries | New Buyer Enquiry | A new buyer enquiry comes in, for example from Rightmove or Zoopla. |
| New Seller Enquiries | New Seller Enquiry | A new seller enquiry comes in. |
| New Renter Enquiries | New Lettings Enquiry | A new renter enquiry comes in. |
You aren't notified when a lettings viewing is cancelled. You also aren't notified when Loop cancels viewings itself, for example when an offer is accepted or a property is withdrawn.
Who gets them
Notifications go to everyone in the same Loop team as the enquiry or viewing who has Pocket on their phone. A team is usually a branch or office. They aren't only for the agent responsible.
That includes you. If you cancel a sales viewing, you'll get the cancellation notification too.
Allowing notifications
The first time your Agenda loads after you sign in, your phone asks whether Pocket can send you notifications. Tap Allow.
If you chose not to allow them, you can turn them on in your phone's settings:
- iPhone: go to Settings › Notifications › Loop and turn on Allow Notifications.
- Android: go to Settings › Apps › Loop Pocket › Notifications and turn them on. The exact wording varies between phone makes.
Choosing which notifications you get
- On the Agenda tab, tap your photo or initials, then the gear icon.
- Under Notifications, turn each type on or off.
All four are on to start with. These settings apply to this phone only.
Important: the switches only save when your phone allows Pocket to send notifications. If a switch doesn't stay where you put it, allow notifications in your phone's settings first, then come back and try again.
What happens when you tap a notification
- An enquiry notification opens the enquiry.
- A viewing cancellation opens the viewing.
If you've been signed out, sign in first. The notification can only open the right screen when you're signed in.
Handing your phone to someone else
Signing out of Pocket doesn't stop notifications. Before you hand a phone on, turn off all four notifications in Settings and then sign out, or delete the app.
Activity reminders
Pocket doesn't send reminders for your tasks, calls and meetings to your phone. When you set a reminder on an activity in Pocket, it arrives as an email, or as a lobby reminder in Loop on your computer. See Adding a task, call, meeting or custom appointment.
Not getting notifications?
Check that:
- Pocket is allowed to send notifications in your phone's settings.
- The type of notification is switched on in Pocket's Settings.
- Your phone isn't in Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode.
- You're signed in to Pocket.
- The enquiry or viewing belongs to your team. You're only notified about your own team's.
If you've checked all of these and still get nothing, contact support. Tell them your app version, which is at the bottom of Settings.
