Overview
This article provides a step-by-step guide on linking sales chains in Loop Software. The ability to link chains ensures that all notes are shared throughout the chain, making it a powerful tool for managing sales.
Why Linking Chains Matters
Linking chains in Loop allows all related notes to be copied and shared across the chain, streamlining communication and record-keeping. However, chains must be managed properly to avoid errors or loss of information.
Steps for Linking Chains
1. Identifying the Issue
If you are unable to link two chains together, it’s likely because one or both properties already have an existing chain created. Loop will not allow linking when both chains are pre-created.
2. Removing an Existing Chain
To resolve this:
- Open the property that has an existing chain.
- Navigate to the Sales Chain section.
- Remove the existing chain:
- Copy and paste any notes into a separate document to prevent data loss, as removing a chain will delete the notes associated with it.
3. Linking to an Existing Chain
- Open the property you want to link.
- Go to the Sales Chain section.
- Instead of creating a new chain, select the option to Join Existing Chain.
- Choose the desired property from the list of available options.
4. Linking Chains in Reverse Order
If you prefer to link the chains from another property:
- Open the property that needs to be linked.
- Navigate to the Sales Chain section.
- Remove its existing chain, ensuring any notes are backed up.
- Link it to the desired chain above or below in the hierarchy.
Key Points to Remember
- Pre-existing Chains: Two pre-created chains cannot be linked. One chain must be removed to enable linking.
- Data Backup: Always back up notes before removing a chain to prevent loss of important information.
