Loop Software Release Notes - April 30th, 2025 (Live May 1st, 2025)
This article details the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes included in our update released on April 30th, 2025, and going live on May 1st, 2025. As always, many of these updates are a direct result of your valuable feedback, so thank you for helping us make Loop Software even better!
Key New Features
1. Diary Sync Option
The highly anticipated diary synchronization feature is now live!
- When you schedule a viewing or any appointment in your Loop diary, it will now automatically sync with your Google or Microsoft calendar.
- This is a two-way sync: if you move an appointment in Loop, it will also be updated in your external calendar, and vice versa.
- This functionality applies to all entries you create in your Loop diary.
- Note: A more in-depth video explaining the diary sync is available. A link to this video will be provided.
2. Sales Invoice Management
We've introduced comprehensive tools for managing sales invoices directly within Loop.
- A new Invoices tab is now available within your property records.
- From this tab, you can create new invoices for various purposes, such as:
- Emailing sellers
- Commission fees
- EPC costs
- Other related charges
- The system allows you to track the status of invoices and manage payments effectively.
- A new lobby widget has been added to highlight overdue invoices, ensuring timely follow-up.
Smaller Updates and Improvements
1. Diary Enhancements
- Buyer Financial Position on Hover: When you hover your mouse over a viewing appointment in the diary, you will now see the financial position of the associated buyer.
- SMS Options on Drag and Drop: If you move a diary appointment by clicking and dragging, you will now be presented with options to send an SMS notification about the change to the relevant applicants, buyers, or sellers.
2. Address Book Updates
New categories have been added to your address book for improved organization:
- Drains Contractor
- Inventory Clerk
- Pest Control
3. Appraisal Year Indicator
For clarity and record-keeping, the year in which an appraisal was originally carried out is now displayed at the top of the appraisal document.
4. Editable Buyer Property Type
Previously, once a property type was registered for a buyer (e.g., "House"), it could not be changed. You can now edit this field, allowing you to update a buyer's preferences (e.g., from "House" to "Flat").
5. Address and Display Name Formatting
A new "flip side" button has been added to the address and display name formatting options. This is particularly useful when the address is registered with a specific order (e.g., Mrs. and then Mr.), allowing you to easily switch the display order (e.g., to Mr. and Mrs.).
6. Enhanced Chain Linking in Sales Progression
The process of linking chains together in sales progression has been improved. Instead of a large dropdown list, you now have the ability to type and search within the chain linking tool, making it much faster to find the relevant property.
7. Clickable Virtual Tour Links
If you have added a virtual tour URL to the media and text section of a property (whether pre-market or on the market), this link is now clickable, allowing for easy access to the virtual tour.
8. Improved Property Navigation
The "paddle flipper" navigation that appeared at the bottom of the property section when multiple properties were present has been removed to improve performance and prevent unexpected behavior when navigating through files.
9. Branding in Viewing Confirmation Emails
We've made behind-the-scenes improvements to ensure that viewing confirmation emails now consistently display the correct branding for offices with multiple branding configurations.
Loop Pocket Updates
The Loop Pocket mobile app has also received some updates, including the ability to:
- Bookmark your appraisals.
- Add new sellers.
- Access your diary.
