Booking a sales or lettings appraisal

Modified on Fri, 16 Oct at 4:10 PM

You can book an appraisal (valuation) from your phone, adding the property and the seller or landlord as you go if they're not on Loop yet.

Starting a booking

  1. On the Agenda tab, tap the blue + button.
  2. Under Appointments, tap Sales Appraisal or Lettings Appraisal. You need the Lettings role to book lettings appraisals.

There are three steps: Add Property, Add Seller (or Add Landlord) and Select Date and Time.

To stop without saving, tap Cancel, then Yes, Cancel. Anything you've entered is discarded.

Step 1: Add Property

If the property is already on Loop, search under Search Saved Properties and tap it. You'll also see your recent appraisals.

If it's a new property:

  1. Tap Add Property.
  2. Enter the Property postcode and tap Search.
  3. Choose the address from the list. If it isn't there, tap Add address manually.
  4. Tap Add More Details to record more about the property:
    • Edit Address: county and area
    • Property Attributes: property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, floor area, acres, build year, glazing, condition, age, listed status, local authority, council tax band, parking, outside space and accessibility notes
    • Appraisal Questions: your agency's own questions, if it has set any up
  5. Tap Save & Continue. The property needs a house name or number, a town and a postcode before you can continue.

Step 2: Add Seller or Landlord

If they're already on Loop, search under Saved Sellers (or Saved Landlords) and tap them.

If they're new:

  1. Tap Add New Seller (or Add New Landlord).
  2. Enter their Full Name, Phone Number (with its type) and Email Address.
  3. Tap Add More Details to add their title, source, address, communication preferences and marketing consents.
  4. Save, and carry on.

Pocket doesn't check for duplicates, so search first. Only mark consent as Given if they've actually agreed.

Step 3: Select Date and Time

  1. Choose the Attending Agent.
  2. Tap Select Date to see that day's diary and choose a date.
  3. Choose how long the appraisal is. It's 1 hour to start with.
  4. Set the Start Time and End Time.

Before you save, check the summary. Use Edit Date & Time, Edit Property or Edit Seller to change anything.

Confirming

  1. Tap Confirm & Save.
  2. Choose who gets a confirmation email: the Seller (or Landlord) and the Agent. Both are ticked to start with. Untick anyone you don't want to email.
  3. Confirm. You'll see New Appraisal added to Diary!

Confirmation sheet

Confirmations are sent by email only. Pocket doesn't send text messages or text reminders.

For lettings appraisals, Pocket doesn't email the attending agent, even if Agent is ticked. The appraisal is in their diary.
