Modified on Thu, 25 Apr at 1:03 PM

Objective:

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to remove a property from a sales chain in order to fall through without affecting the rest of the chain.

1. Accessing the Property in Question:

  • Begin by locating the property you wish to remove from the sales chain. This could be done from your dashboard or property listings.

2. Opening Sales Progression:

  • Once you've identified the property, open up its sales progression. This can typically be found within the property details and then the sales tab.

3. Navigating to the Sales Chain:

  • Within the sales progression of the property, locate the option to view the sales chain. This will display all properties linked in the current chain.

4. Identifying the Property to Remove:

  • Determine the property that needs to be removed from the chain. Ensure that removing it won't disrupt the continuity of the rest of the chain. Currently you can only remove the top or bottom Property in a Chain.

5. Removing the Property:

  • Next, find the three dots or ellipsis icon typically located at the right hand side of the chain. Click on it to reveal the option to "Remove from Chain."

6. Confirming Removal:

  • A confirmation prompt may appear, notifying you that this action will permanently remove all associated activities and notes. It's advisable to save any important notes before proceeding.

7. Closing the Chain:

  • Once you've removed the property from the chain, close out of the sales chain interface and return to the property details.

8. Updating Sales Status:

  • Within the sales details of the property, verify that the chain is now empty. You can check the sales chain section to ensure the property has been successfully removed.

9. Falling Through:

  • Proceed to fall through the property. This action typically involves marking the property as "Fall Through" and providing a reason for the action.

10. Finalising:

  • Confirm the action to fall through the property. Ensure that any relevant notifications or emails are appropriately handled, especially if it's a test record.

11. Restoring if Necessary:

  • If there's a need to bring the property back into the sales chain, utilise the "Restore Sale" option in the sales progression. This will reinstate the property and its associated activities.

Removing a property from a sales chain is a straightforward process but requires careful consideration to avoid disrupting the chain's flow. By following these steps, you can efficiently manage the sales progression while maintaining data integrity.
