Booking an appraisal from a buyer record
If a buyer has a property to sell, you can book a market appraisal straight from their buyer record. Use this when a buyer needs to sell before they can buy, or when their home is on the market with another agent and they want a second opinion.
Before you start
- Loop carries the buyer's name, contact details and current address over to the appraisal, so you don't need to enter them again.
- The person stays a buyer. Booking the appraisal also creates a seller record for them, linked to the property being valued.
- If the buyer might sell but isn't ready for an appraisal yet, record a market appraisal opportunity instead. See Recording a market appraisal opportunity.
Steps
- In the left-hand menu, click Buyers.
- Open the buyer record.
- Click Book Appraisal in the top right-hand corner.
- Check the name and contact details that Loop has filled in.
- Check the address. If the property to be valued isn't the buyer's current home, change it to the address of the property to be valued.
- Select the type of appraisal.
- Fill in the rest of the appraisal details, including the date and time.
- Click Proceed.
The appraisal is booked and appears in the Diary. The person now has a buyer record and a seller record.
Example

- Open Jamie Placeholder's buyer record.
- Click Book Appraisal in the top right-hand corner.
- Check Jamie's name and contact details.
- Check the address shows 2 Sample Road.
- Select the type of appraisal.
- Set the date to Tuesday and the time to 10am.
- Click Proceed.
