Editing a buyer's requirements

When a buyer's budget or search changes, update their requirements so Loop matches them to the right properties.

Before you start

  • You need the buyer to be registered in Loop. See Registering a buyer.
  • Match areas are set up by your team in Settings. If an area you need isn't in the list, ask whoever manages your Loop settings to add it.

Steps

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Buyers.
  2. Open the buyer record.
  3. Click the Edit Requirements tab.
  4. Change the Minimum Price or Maximum Price, if needed.
  5. Change any other requirements, such as Bedrooms or Property Types, if needed.
  6. Click Match Areas.
  7. Tick the areas the buyer wants to search in, and untick any they no longer want.
  8. Click Close.
  9. Click Save Requirement.

A tick appears when the changes are saved. Check that the new price and match areas now show on the buyer record.

Example

Jamie Placeholder has had a mortgage offer and can now spend up to £400,000. They also want to look in Town Centre as well as their current areas.

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Buyers.
  2. Open Jamie Placeholder's buyer record.
  3. Click the Edit Requirements tab.
  4. Change the Maximum Price to £400,000.
  5. Click Match Areas.
  6. Tick Town Centre.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click Save Requirement.
