Registering a buyer
Register a buyer to keep their contact details and property requirements in one place. Once a buyer is registered, Loop can match them to suitable properties.
Before you start
- The buyer's first name and surname are required. Everything else is optional, but the more you add, the better the matching.
- For matching to work, add at least a price range and a number of bedrooms.
- If the buyer enquired through Rightmove, Zoopla or your website, you may not need to register them. Booking a viewing for an enquiry registers the buyer automatically.
Steps
- In the left-hand menu, click Buyers.
- Click Add Buyer in the top right-hand corner.
- Enter the buyer's First Name.
- Enter the buyer's Surname.
- Enter the buyer's Mobile number.
- Enter the buyer's Email address.
- Select where the buyer came from in Source (for example, Rightmove, website or walk-in).
- Enter the buyer's current Postcode.
- If someone else is buying with them, click Add another buyer and enter their details.
- Check the Display Name. This is how the buyer appears in Loop.
- Check the Addressee. This is the name used on letters.
- Enter the buyer's Minimum Price and Maximum Price.
- Enter the minimum number of Bedrooms.
- Select the buyer's Match Areas.
- Select the Property Types the buyer is interested in.
- Add any Buyer Tags (for example, Investment).
- Add anything else the buyer wants in Requirement Notes (for example, "needs a garden").
- Select the buyer's Proceedability (for example, cash buyer, first-time buyer or property on the market).
- Select the buyer's Reason for Purchase.
- Select the buyer's Selling Position.
- Click Save.
The buyer is now registered and appears in your buyer list. Loop starts matching them to properties straight away.
Other ways to register a buyer
- From the Lobby: click Quick Add, then select Buyer. The same buyer form opens.
- From an enquiry: open the enquiry and click Convert to Buyer. The same buyer form opens with the enquiry details already filled in.
- From a viewing: when you book a viewing, you can register a new buyer as part of the booking. See Booking a viewing.
