Making a Referral Through Ping in Loop

Article Purpose: This article explains how to make a referral to a partner (e.g., a mortgage company) using the Ping platform within the Loop software.

Steps:

1. Open the Buyer File:

   • Open the buyer file for the client you want to refer.
   • Ensure the buyer's requirements and suitability for a referral are clear.
   • Example: The buyer needs a mortgage and is looking to arrange a quote.

2. Initiate Referral:

   • Click the "Make Referral" button, typically located at the top of the screen.

3. Obtain GDPR Consent:

   • Crucially Important: Before proceeding, you must ensure you have obtained the buyer's consent to make the referral, in compliance with GDPR.
   • Select "Consent Given" to confirm that you have the buyer's permission.
   • Select the buyer.
   • Click "Next."

4. Select Referral Partner:

   • Choose the specific partner you want to refer the buyer to (e.g., a mortgage company).

5. Add Comments (Optional):

   • In the comment section, you can add notes for the referral partner.
   • These comments can be helpful for the partner in closing the deal, such as:
     • Comments to help them close the deal
     • Important notes from the buyer

6. Send Referral:

   • Click the "Send Referral" button.

7. Confirmation:

   • The referral will be recorded in the system.
   • You can verify this by checking the system log in the buyer's file.

System Notifications:

• The Loop system will send out three emails:
  • Agent Email: You, as the agent, will receive an email confirming that the referral has been made.
  • Buyer Email: The buyer will receive an email notifying them that the referral partner will be in touch shortly.
  • Referral Partner Email: The referral partner will receive an email containing the buyer's details and any relevant information needed to follow up.
