Adding and removing people on a landlord record

A landlord record can hold more than one person, for example a couple who own a property together.

Before you start

• Add each person separately, even if they share an address. Each person has their own contact details and their own marketing and data protection preferences.
• In Loop, the people on one landlord record are called a group.
• You can only remove a person if the group has more than one person in it.

Adding a person

1. In the left-hand menu, click Landlords.
2. Open the landlord record.
3. Click the People tab.
4. Click Add New.
5. Enter the person's First Name.
6. Enter the person's Surname.
7. Enter the person's Mobile number.
8. Enter the person's Email address.
9. Enter the person's address, or copy it from the existing person if they live together.
10. Set the person's communication preferences.
11. Click Add Person.

The new person now appears in the People tab alongside the existing person.

Important: click Add Person, not Save. The Save button at the top of the record only saves the addressee details, so the new person won't be added.

Removing a person

1. In the left-hand menu, click Landlords.
2. Open the landlord record.
3. Click the People tab.
4. Select the person you want to remove.
5. Click Remove Person, above the Surname field.
6. Click Remove to confirm.

Getting to the landlord record from a property

If you're working on a property, you can open the landlord record from there:

1. Open the property.
2. Click the People tab.
3. Click Go to File next to the landlord.

Then carry on from the People tab step above.

Example

Jamie Placeholder is a landlord. Their partner, Sam Placeholder, owns the property with them.

1. In the left-hand menu, click Landlords.
2. Open Jamie Placeholder's landlord record.
3. Click the People tab.
4. Click Add New.
5. Enter Sam as the first name and Placeholder as the surname.
6. Enter Sam's mobile number (07700 900456) and email address (sam.placeholder@example.com).
7. Copy the address from Jamie.
8. Set Sam's communication preferences.
9. Click Add Person.
