Managing Suspects in Loop Software

Overview

The Suspects tab in Loop Software is designed to help you manage and track potential clients, whether they are investors, developers, potential sellers, or buyers. This article will guide you through how to add and manage suspects, as well as how to set tasks, reminders, and activities related to each suspect.



Accessing the Suspects Tab

  1. On the left-hand side of the screen, you will find the Suspects tab in the menu.
  2. Click on the Suspects tab to view your current list of suspects.

Adding a New Suspect

If you haven't added any suspects yet, the list will be empty. To add a suspect:

  1. Click on the Add Suspect button located at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Fill out the relevant information for the new suspect:
    • Title (e.g., Mr., Ms.)
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Background Information (optional)
    • Email Address (optional)
    • Mobile Phone Number (optional)
    • Additional phone numbers (e.g., office or home phone) can be added by clicking the + button.
    • Contact Notes (e.g., whether the suspect is an investor, developer, potential seller, or buyer).
  3. Once all the information is filled in, click Save to add the suspect to the list.

Managing Suspects

Once a suspect file is created, you can view and edit it at any time. The file will display key information, such as:

  • Name (e.g., Jonas Smith)
  • Email and Phone Number
  • Contact Notes (e.g., "Potentially coming on the market in August, depending on a pending job offer.")

Editing a Suspect’s Information

To edit a suspect’s information, simply click on the suspect’s file, update the details, and hit Save again.


Adding Notes, Activities, and Reminders

To manage tasks and set reminders related to a suspect:

  1. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the suspect’s file.
  2. Select More to access the available options, such as adding a note, archiving, deleting, or adding an activity.

Adding an Activity

To schedule an activity (e.g., task, call, or meeting):

  1. Click on Add Activity.
  2. Choose the type of activity (e.g., Task, Call, or Meeting).
  3. If the activity is a call, set the appropriate details:
    • Date: Use the calendar to select the desired date.
    • Time: Set the time for the activity (e.g., 10:00 AM).
  4. Set a Reminder if desired (e.g., 15 minutes before the scheduled time).
  5. Add any Additional Notes related to the activity.
  6. Click Save.

Viewing Activities and Notes

Once an activity is saved, it will appear under the Notes and Activities section for the suspect. This section will display upcoming activities, such as:

  • Call: "Call Jonas Monday, August 1st at 10:00 AM."
