How to Add a Guarantor

Introduction

In this guide, we will walk through the process of adding a guarantor for a tenant in Loop Software. This is typically done during the **Preparing Tenancy** stage.



Steps to Add a Guarantor


1. **Access the Renter's Profile:**

   - Navigate to the **Preparing Tenancy** status.

   - Locate the renter on the right-hand side of the screen. Initially, there may be no guarantor listed.


2. **Open the Renter File:**

   - Click on the renter's file to open their profile. Guarantors are linked to individual tenants within their profile.


3. **Add Guarantor Details:**

   - Under the **People** section, you will see the current tenant(s) listed. 

   - Scroll to the bottom and click on the **Add Guarantor** button.

   - Fill out the required information for the guarantor, including:

     - Email address

     - Relation to the tenant

     - Address and other pertinent details


4. **Save the Guarantor Information:**

   - Once all information is entered, click on **Add Guarantor**.

   - The guarantor will now be listed as the primary guarantor for the tenant.


5. **Verify Guarantor Addition:**

   - Return to the **Preparing Tenancy** status to confirm the addition.

   - The guarantor, such as James Green, will now be visible as linked to the tenant.
